Responsibilities:
The O’More School of Design at Belmont University is located in Nashville, Tennessee where the largest per capita concentration of independent fashion companies are established outside of Los Angeles and New York City.
We are seeking part time instructors to teach classes in the following discipline(s): Retail Management and Merchandise Simulation.
The BFA in Fashion Merchandising is among the Top 20 private programs in the United States for 2018, and our Fashion Design program was ranked among the Top 10 programs in the South in 2017 (Fashion-schools.org).
- Assigned up to nine workload hours per semester.
- Create syllabus, timeline of classes, for students each semester.
- Provide meeting time for students.
- Manage online grading system and submit grades in a timely fashion.
- Abide by all relevant university and/or department procedures and policies.

- Ability to integrate technology into the teaching and learning process.
- Ability to successfully interact with students, other educators and educational institution representatives, and the general public in a professional manner.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
- Knowledge of the programs and services offered by Belmont University.
- Ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies.
Preferred Required
Required Experience Higher education teaching experience preferred.
The selected candidate will be required to complete a background check satisfactory to the University.
