Overview / Job Summary:

The Marketing & Community Engagement team at WSU Tech is seeking a talented, detail-oriented, deadline-driven, creative, and self-motivated Visual Designer! Candidates should have a strong portfolio with at least 2 years of professional experience in creative design for print and web. The team values a work hard, play hard mentality and seeks the next great marketing opportunity. Under the supervision of the Manager of Creative Services, the Visual Designer will manage multiple projects to attract leads, promote programs and events, enhance website aesthetics, and uphold WSU Tech Visual Standards. Your responsibilities include:

• Executing diverse design projects from concept to completion.
• Creating content and graphics supporting all college areas and branding.
• Paying close attention to detail and developing creative solutions.
• Collaborating effectively with internal and external partners.
• Meeting project deadlines consistently.
• Accepting feedback professionally and working towards optimal creative outcomes.
• Maintaining brand consistency across all work.
• Supporting marketing campaigns and events.
• Engaging in ongoing professional development.
• Staying updated on digital platforms, design software, and industry best practices.
• Adapting to changing priorities swiftly in a fast-paced environment.
• Fostering a respectful and positive work environment.

Education:

• Preferred: Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Visual Arts, Marketing, or related field.

Preferred Experience & Skills:

• 2-4 years of professional visual design experience, preferably in marketing or advertising, with a strong portfolio.
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite.
• Demonstrated high-quality work in web and print design via a portfolio. *Applicants must submit a portfolio link for consideration.
• Knowledge of design principles, typography, color theory, and layout.
• Experience with web and social media tools (preferred).
• Strong organizational skills to handle multiple projects and deadlines.
• Flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic environment.
• Photography skills with DSLR cameras (preferred).
• Experience with dimensional design (vehicles, facilities, fixtures, etc.) (preferred).
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Detail-oriented with strong multitasking abilities.
• Passion for education and creative problem-solving.
