The Department of Performing Arts and Technology offers a variety of technique, ensemble, and lecture courses. The Department has a new major in Music Technology and also provides academic minors in Dance Studies, Dance Performance and Choreography, Music Studies, Music Performance, and Arts Entrepreneurship. The Department of Performing Arts and Technology at North Carolina State University seeks applications for part-time lecturers in the areas of music theory, aural skills, musicology, and ethnomusicology to provide semester-long instruction in a classroom setting. University classes typically meet 2-3 times weekly for 3 hours. Responsibilities include preparing and teaching courses while grading and mentoring students.


Please note: This position is part-time and is based on need and availability. Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis. Candidates should specify their academic area(s) of expertise.

Minimum Education and Experience

Requires master’s degree, an equivalent degree, or equivalent professional experience.
