Description Of Duties

Title : Social Media Assistant

Classification: Nonexempt

Hourly Rate*: $25.00/hour

Working Hours*: Monday through Friday, 9am - 5:30pm

Schedule*: Hybrid, In office a minimum of 3 days/week

Location: HQ: 14801 Califa St Van Nuys, CA 91411

DÔEN is looking for a dynamic and talented Social Media Assistant to join our growing team in Los Angeles. We are seeking a passionate, detail-oriented, and highly organized person to support our content and marketing team. This is a hybrid position and will report to the Content Director. They will work closely with the Creative Content Coordinator as well as the Marketing, Graphic Design, and PR teams. The responsibilities below show a glimpse into the role's key functions and the impactful contributions this position makes.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

Administrative Support

  • General day-to-day administrative duties: Provide administrative support to the Content team, ensuring smooth execution of key tasks and workflows.
  • Assist with sample organization, place product orders for content collaborators and trade, and support general logistical needs.
  • Asset organization assistance: Support the daily upkeep of Dropbox folders, ensuring all social media assets are accessible and up to date, properly archived, and tagged appropriately.
  • Provide miscellaneous administrative support as needed.

Social Media Support

  • Social Calendar Upkeep: Help maintain and update the content calendar.
  • Support Daily Instagram Posting: Under the management of the Creative Content Coordinator, draft, schedule, and publish daily Instagram posts, stories, and reels that align with brand voice, marketing, and communications strategy.

TikTok Content: Support the Content Coordinator on the creation and posting of TikTok content. Pinterest Maintenance: Assist with pins, manage boards, and optimize for visibility, engagement, and performance.

Content Creation & Production Assistance

In-House Content: Assist in capturing in-office content, such as fit guides and brand-specific visual assets. Content Creation for World of Dôen:

  • Support in capturing content for in-shop events in coordination with shop managers and photographers.
  • Assist with real-time event coverage in partnership with the Comms/PR team.
  • Support in capturing behind-the-scenes content at photoshoots.
  • Provide miscellaneous content support as needed.

Skills And Abilities

  • Highly organized with excellent time management and attention to detail
  • Strong visual sensibility with an understanding of aesthetic consistency
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
  • Solution-oriented, forward-thinking
  • Exercises discretion and good judgment
  • Ability to prioritize competing projects and meet deadlines.

Qualifications

  • 1–2 years of experience in social media, content creation, or digital marketing
  • Strong knowledge of Instagram, TikTok, Pinterest, and social content best practices
  • Proficiency with tools like Canva, Dropbox, Google Workspace, YOTPO
  • Passion for fashion, digital culture, and storytelling

Physical Requirements

  • Must be able to perform essential duties satisfactorily with reasonable accommodation
  • Periods sitting at a desk, typing, and working on a computer
  • Able to lift/move/push/pull objects up to 25 lbs
  • Able to walk, sit and stand for periods of time
  • Able to operate equipment such as cameras, computers, copy machines, phones
  • Must be able to access various areas of a given location
