BPM-PR Firm, an award-winning national public relations agency, is hiring a PR Director to lead client strategy, media execution, creative development, and team performance across a robust portfolio of clients. The ideal candidate is a powerful storyteller, confident strategist, and proven team leader with deep media relationships, fresh campaign ideas, and the ability to manage 7–10 client accounts simultaneously.

Key Responsibilities

Client Account Management & Strategy

  • Manage a portfolio of 7–10 client accounts, overseeing all communications, deliverables, and strategy execution.
  • Lead all client calls and meetings, providing proactive insight, campaign updates, and strategic leadership.
  • Collaborate with executive leadership to elevate client strategies and performance benchmarks.
  • Develop monthly strategic project plans for each client, mapping goals, key initiatives, deliverables, and pitching cadence.
  • Ensure all projects are executed on time, within scope, and to the highest standard.


Creative Development & Media Execution

  • Consistently generate original campaign ideas, creative/ out of the box angles outside of standard media angle creation, and PR activations tailored to each client’s goals.
  • Pitch and secure high-level media placements across national, regional, trade, and digital outlets, print and television.
  • Lead podcast outreach to book clients on relevant, high-impact shows.
  • Write, edit, and review all media materials including press releases, bios, pitch letters, and media alerts.
  • Monitor industry trends and news to identify timely PR opportunities.


Project Management & Delegation

  • Oversee project management to ensure timely execution of deliverables, clear communication, and efficient workflow.
  • Manage day-to-day task delegation across your team to maintain momentum and accountability.
  • Oversee sample mailings, seeding, and tracking processes, ensuring execution and follow-up.
  • Monitor, analyze, and report media coverage, providing actionable insights and evolving strategies.


Team Development & Leadership

  • Lead and mentor Account Executives, Publicists, and Interns with hands-on training, guidance, and performance feedback.
  • Support professional development through structured team development initiatives.
  • Cultivate a culture of creativity, excellence, and collaboration across all account teams.


Partnerships, Sponsorships & Visibility Opportunities

  • Identify and secure strategic partnerships and sponsorships that enhance client visibility and positioning.
  • Assist with award submissions, speaking engagements, executive panel placements, and event planning.
  • Represent BPM-PR Firm and clients at press events, media previews, and industry activations as needed.


Media, Stylist & Industry Relationship Building

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key media contacts, editors, producers, stylists, and influencers.
  • Conduct desksides and ongoing outreach to expand client and agency exposure.
  • Leverage relationships to generate earned media, strategic opportunities, and stylist/influencer collaborations.


REQUIREMENTS

  • 8–12+ years of public relations experience, preferably in an agency setting.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage 7–10 client accounts while maintaining high-quality results.
  • Strong track record of securing top-tier media placements, podcasts, and visibility opportunities.
  • Proven leadership skills in managing team members, building culture, and driving performance.
  • Exceptional writing, editing, pitching, and strategic communication skills.
  • Established relationships with media, stylists, producers, and influencers.
  • Proficiency in Cision, MuckRack, Google Alerts, and project management tools like Basecamp or Asana.
  • Availability to travel up to 10–15% for press events, desksides, and client meetings.


BONUS QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience in Fashion, Beauty, Lifestyle, Tech, or Corporate PR.
  • Crisis communications or executive positioning background.
  • Experience leading integrated campaigns involving influencers, brand partnerships, or experiential PR.
