Job Description

Our global Visual Effects team combines talent with technology, artistry with rigor, the familiar with the fantastic. Our work can be inspiring or invisible, but always unforgettable. From the language of colour to the hand-drawn and photo-real, we bring ideas to life through movement, storytelling, and timing.

The Mill Los Angeles is currently looking for an experienced Senior Producer to join our commercials production department.

The ideal candidate will have several years of experience in VFX post-production, with an understanding of, and interest in, new trends and developments in the wider field.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare accurate and detailed budgets, advising on high-end VFX and fast turnaround adaptation work.
  • Plan, coordinate, and lead projects from storyboard through to final delivery.
  • Ensure correct scheduling of sessions.
  • Manage project negotiation and utilize resources efficiently.
  • Work alongside Leads and creative supervisors to track and manage projects.
  • Manage resources and facilitate communication between teams and support departments.
  • Anticipate and communicate issues to supervisors or department heads.
  • Oversee execution of all masters and final client deliveries.
  • Reconcile and bill costs as per client requirements and standards.
  • Address client technical queries and liaise with technical staff to obtain and provide information.
  • Maintain a positive, proactive, and professional project atmosphere.
  • Lead, advise, and train junior production team members.
  • Supervise quality control on projects and provide feedback to creative, production, and operational personnel.
  • Monitor project demands on creative artists and ensure adequate support staff and resources.
  • Manage the welfare of creative and production teams during projects.
  • Build and maintain key client relationships.
  • Research and source new directing and creative talent.
  • Stay updated on industry movements.
  • Organize client hospitality events when appropriate.
  • Ensure colleagues build and sustain client relationships and creative partnerships.
  • Advise clients on post-production techniques and shooting requirements.
  • Optimize use of technical, creative, and resource assets for successful project delivery locally and internationally.
  • Stay informed about new techniques and equipment.
  • Provide technical feedback and improve project workflows.

Qualifications

  • Highly organized with exemplary time and project management skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize conflicting tasks.
  • Calm and confident in a fast-paced environment.
  • Team-oriented with a collaborative attitude.

Technical Skills

  • Understanding of common file formats and resolutions.
  • Experience with Ceta is beneficial.

Experience

  • Minimum of 6-7 years experience as a VFX Producer.
  • Interest in and understanding of industry trends and developments.
