• Bachelor’s degree in communications, journalism, business, or a related field, preferred
• Strong writing and organizational skills required as is the ability to produce content under heavy deadline pressure.
• 3 years’ experience line producing a newscast
• Attention to detail is must.
• Ability to collect and analyze data and information accuracy as well as follow through.
• Strong communication skills both written and verbal.
• Proactive and solutions focused.
• Professional appearance.
  
  

• Must be able to work Wednesday to Sunday
• Live within reasonable distance and have dependable means of transportation due to early hours on Saturday and Sunday
• Saturday hours are 5:30am~3:30pm
• Sunday hours are 5:30am~2:30pm
• Must be able to multi-task and have good time management skills
• 5 shows across 10 hours requires swift and smooth transitions between shows
• We produce Sunday shows on Saturday so candidates should be able to manage their time to make sure they are working ahead at all times
• Must have reasonable knowledge of the news cycle
• We are covering the stories of the week, so you should not be seeing these stories for the first time when you start working on your segment
• Candidates should also be keeping an eye out throughout the week for new angles/elements to keep stories fresh, even if they have completed their work on a segment
