Description:

The Coordinator of Events, Media Outreach Promoter, and Bulletin Editor reports primarily to the Pastor and Operations Director. This role supports and assists the Pastor in developing and organizing parish events and outreach ministries, as well as managing the creation of the parish bulletin.

The position involves utilizing evangelization efforts to invite and encourage community members to engage more fully in parish life and ministry, including outreach to unengaged individuals.

Responsibilities include overseeing current volunteer groups, creating new outreach initiatives within the parish and community, and ensuring all activities align with the parish’s mission, goals, and values, and comply with parish and Archdiocesan policies. All duties should be performed with a spirit of Christian service.

Requirements:

  • Training, education, and background in evangelization and outreach efforts.
  • Prior experience in evangelization (preferred).
  • Experience organizing and executing events.
  • Effective communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage work efficiently.
  • Initiative and self-direction.
  • High level of discretion and integrity.
  • Willingness to work evenings and weekends as needed.
  • Practicing Catholic and passionate disciple of Jesus Christ.
  • Understanding and support of Catholic Church teachings, mission, and social teaching.
  • Associate’s Degree in media creation or marketing experience.
  • Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree in media creation.
  • At least 3 years of experience in publishing, design, or outreach.

Experience:

Church outreach ministry experience is preferred.

Skills Required:

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Word, Outlook, Excel, Canva, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong verbal and written skills, with ability to handle multiple tasks.
  • Problem-solving skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Bilingual in Spanish and English, both written and spoken.
