$80,000.00/yr - $115,000.00/yr

Our leading global law firm client is looking for an experienced Reference Librarian to support their legal teams with comprehensive research services. This role involves working closely with attorneys and staff to deliver expert-level research across various areas of law and business. Ideal candidates will be detail-oriented, service-driven, and comfortable working in a dynamic, high-performance environment.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct detailed research across legal, regulatory, and financial topics using digital databases and traditional resources.
• Staff the research desk during assigned hours, responding to inquiries with timely and accurate information.
• Assist attorneys and staff in effectively using research platforms through hands-on support and instruction.
• Contribute to department initiatives and ongoing research projects.
• Promote best practices around the use and security of information resources.
• Adhere to internal protocols for safeguarding confidential and proprietary data, and promptly report any issues or concerns.

Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in Library Science (MLS or equivalent) from an ALA-accredited institution or significant progress toward completion.
• Previous experience performing legal research in a professional setting is required.
• Strong command of legal research databases, including Westlaw, Lexis, Bloomberg Law, and VitalLaw.
• Familiarity with corporate filings and tools such as LSEG Workspace, S&P Capital IQ Pro, DealPointData, FactSet, Filings Expert, Chapter11Dockets, and Intelligize is highly desirable.
• Experience with request management tools like Quest is a plus.
• Able to juggle competing priorities while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
• Possesses excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Works well both independently and collaboratively, and demonstrates a strong service ethic.
• Maintains high standards of professionalism consistent with a global law firm.
