divh2Broadcast Media Systems Engineer/h2pPosition Summary:/ppThis position requires a person who has well rounded knowledge of broadcast media systems including transmission, video, audio, communications, and control systems workflow. This individual will part of the Systems Engineering Support team supporting broadcast infrastructure at the NBA in Secaucus, NJ and at NBA Arenas and other remote locations including NBA domestic and international distribution during live games addressing live games critical issues as they arise./ppMajor Responsibilities:/pulliProvides troubleshooting support when issues arise to support operational standard and uptime./liliSupport live environment for NBATV International, production control rooms, NBA Arenas and other technical areas at NBA HQ./liliCheck-in all inbound and outbound feeds for technical continuity./liliInteract / Support: Remote Arena Engineers, Production, IT, Operations Domestic/International Customers/Vendors./liliSupporting and troubleshooting of broadcast systems and IP based and network connected equipment such as 3G/HD production hybrid routers, multiviewers, production switchers, IP codecs, and broadcast department network Layer 2/3 switches./liliCreate detailed technical reports./liliAbility to work all shifts associated with 24x7x365 production environments including nights, weekends, and holidays./li/ulpRequired Skills/Knowledge:/pulliMust have a knowledge of broadcast television standards, workflow, and technologies responsible for routing, switching, encoding, audio processing and distribution./liliKnowledge and ability to handle systems routing, quality control issues, and variations in production requirements./liliEnhanced troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with a willingness to learn./liliUnderstanding of fiber optic and copper networking technologies./liliDemonstrated ability to work independently and creatively./liliHands-on experience with 3G/HD broadcasts and 3G/HD knowledge of systems./li/ulpExperience Needed:/pulli2 - 5 years of broadcast operations or engineering experience./li/ulpEducational Background Required:/pulliCollege degree in Communications/Engineering or related field/liliIn lieu of a college degree, significant field experience will be considered/li/ulpSalary Range:/pp$3,200/Biweekly/p/div
