As the Jr. Manager, Communications , you will play a critical role in the Sony Music US Latin internal communications strategy and execution, serving as a Publicity agent for our 100+ roster of music artists. This role reports to the Senior Director, Communications for Sony Music Latin. What you'll do: Internal Corporate Communication Establish an internal communications strategy in conjunction with managers. Ensure organizational initiatives and projects are successfully communicated internally. Plan, edit, and write content for various internal communication mediums, including working on content layout. Draft messages or scripts from senior executives for presentation to employees in written or spoken form. Maintain consistency of internal messages across all mediums and departments, aligning with external communication messages. Respond to feedback and adjust communications accordingly. Support the Head of Communications with internal communication responses during crisis situations affecting organizational perception and reputation. Artist Publicity Expand and maintain a network of music industry contacts, including journalists and editors of music magazines, newspapers, and websites. Decide where to focus publicity efforts for album launches or other music ventures. Prepare and circulate press releases, artist biographies, and promotional materials. Follow up on publicity activities via phone, email, or face-to-face meetings. Arrange publicity events such as media interviews and artist appearances. Escort artists to publicity events. Coordinate logistics of appearances, interviews, showcases, and album release events with Project Managers. Coordinate and cover press events and appearances as requested. Follow up with media reports after promotions, including press clippings. Who you are: Bachelor's Degree in communications, public relations, journalism, or a related field. Fluent in Spanish and English (reading, writing, speaking). Minimum 3 years of corporate communications or public relations experience. Preferred 2+ years of music industry publicity experience. Strong writing, editing, and interpersonal skills in both languages, with work samples. Experience writing and distributing press releases in Spanish and English. Passion for helping people and curiosity about different cultures. Ability to meet deadlines and perform under pressure. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Knowledge of music trends and audience preferences. Strong media contacts. Positive attitude and work ethic. Confident, persuasive, with excellent negotiation skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, PR Newswire, Muck Rack, among others. Self-motivated with excellent organizational skills and ability to handle multiple tasks.
