As Vice President of Marketing, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping how we connect with people, tell our story, and build lasting community impact at scale.
Role Summary: The Vice President of Marketing will be responsible for shaping and executing the marketing strategy across Chai Vision’s diverse portfolio of direct-to-consumer brands. This is a cross-functional leadership role spanning growth, brand, digital commerce, and creative. You will manage the four core marketing teams (Growth, Brand, Shopify, and Creative), guiding them toward a shared vision of revenue growth, customer loyalty, and brand love.
You’ll unify messaging across platforms and lead scalable, data-driven campaigns that accelerate performance across Shopify, Amazon, TikTok Shop, and other key channels. This role requires a strong background in omnichannel strategy and the ability to execute with precision in a fast-paced, results-driven environment.
The position reports directly to the executive leadership team and plays a key role in company-wide strategy, annual planning, and performance execution. The ideal candidate is both a strategic visionary and a hands-on implementer—capable of leading high-performing teams, optimizing resources, and delivering breakthrough marketing outcomes at scale. Key Responsibilities: Strategic Leadership & Brand Growth Owns the Vision: Sets and drives clear, compelling brand direction across all current and future brands. Set the long-term marketing vision and translate company objectives into actionable strategies across brands and platforms. Define brand architecture, positioning, and messaging frameworks to unify our growing portfolio. Drive integration and collaboration across marketing, sales, operations, and product teams. Identify category trends, consumer behavior shifts, and competitor threats to unlock new market opportunities. Cross-functional collaboration with Department heads in Product Dev, Sales,and Ops. Feedback loop to Product dev team on surveys feedback and new innovation based on market research. Brings proactive ideas to ownership and takes full responsibility for execution. Own the go-to-market strategy, creating demand beyond Amazon search. For any product we launch, you will develop a GTM plan to drive sales across our brands. Performance & Digital Strategy Own the digital strategy across paid, owned, and earned media with a full-funnel performance lens across Meta, Google, YouTube, TikTok Shop, affiliate, email, and SMS. Manage performance marketing KPIs in collaboration with the Head of Growth. Drive content strategy, influencer programs, PR, organic social, and brand storytelling through the Head of Brand. Guide SEO, CRO, promotional calendar strategy, and on-site merchandising through the Interim VP of Shopify. Champion full-funnel optimization and creative testing to improve acquisition and conversion. Partner with the Creative Director to ensure production of high-quality, conversion-focused creative assets. Revenue, Retention & Customer Insights Partner cross-functionally with sales, merchandising, and operations to support launches, promotions, and margin-sensitive growth. Champion a customer-first mindset through segmentation, lead acquisition strategies, and loyalty initiatives. Improve lead acquisition, funnel efficiency, and conversion rates via strategic media planning, site optimization, and creative testing. Oversee brand communications, influencer marketing, and PR to maintain a positive public presence. Partner with the Creative Director to ensure high-impact content, storytelling, and creative execution. Data, Tooling & Operational Excellence Set clear marketing KPIs across teams and standardize attribution, forecasting, and pacing models. Guide integration and optimization of key tools and analytics platforms (e.g., Northbeam, Triple Whale, GA4, Shopify). Implement systems and dashboards that empower data-backed decision-making across all levels of the department. Ensure alignment between reporting cadence, team accountability, and budget ownership. Perform 30/60/90 day performance reviews for new hires in collaboration with HR. Oversee and maintain the quarterly review process for the Marketing Department. Provide high level leadership when needed to our overseas Marketing team, including in-office and remote employees, freelancers and contractors. Cross-Functional Alignment Collaborate closely with product, brand managers, merchandising, and operations for seamless cross-department planning. Align calendars, product rollouts, and promotional initiatives across departments and brand portfolios. Serve as a key marketing voice in executive planning and company-level strategy development. Budget Management & Vendor Oversight Set and manage annual and quarterly marketing budgets with ROI accountability. Approve all external agencies, tools, and software—managing contracts, onboarding, and performance reviews. Continuously evaluate vendor contributions and optimize external partnerships. Innovation & Future Readiness Foster a culture of test-and-learn experimentation, leveraging AI, automation, and predictive personalization. Stay ahead of industry shifts across Amazon, Shopify, Meta, and TikTok ecosystems. Prepare the marketing organization to scale effectively as we expand into new categories and markets. Qualifications: 10+ years of progressive experience in marketing, including leadership roles in DTC or omnichannel environments. Proven experience scaling companies to $500M with bold, market-moving strategy. Proven track record of building and leading high-performing marketing teams. Deep understanding of Shopify, Amazon, TikTok Shop, Meta Ads, and modern performance channels. Familiarity with tools such as Northbeam, Klaviyo, GA4, Shopify, Triple Whale, Meta Ads Manager, Google Ads, and affiliate platforms is strongly preferred. Experience managing multiple brands or product categories concurrently. Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills with a creative edge.
