POSITION SUMMARY:

The Senior Creative Advertising Manager leads the development and execution of compelling brand campaigns and creative strategies that align with business goals and resonate with target audiences. This role oversees the creation of advertising assets across channels—including digital, print, broadcast, and out-of-home—and ensures consistent brand voice and visual identity across all customer touchpoints. The Senior Creative Advertising Manager collaborates closely with internal stakeholders, agency partners, and cross-functional teams to drive marketing initiatives from concept through production, with a strong focus on results, brand integrity, and regulatory compliance. This position also provides creative leadership, mentoring, and quality control within the marketing team.

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Senior Creative Advertising Manager leads the development and execution of compelling brand campaigns and creative strategies that align with business goals and resonate with target audiences. This role oversees the creation of advertising assets across channels—including digital, print, broadcast, and out-of-home—and ensures consistent brand voice and visual identity across all customer touchpoints. The Senior Creative Advertising Manager collaborates closely with internal stakeholders, agency partners, and cross-functional teams to drive marketing initiatives from concept through production, with a strong focus on results, brand integrity, and regulatory compliance. This position also provides creative leadership, mentoring, and quality control within the marketing team.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: To perform this job, an individual must perform each essential function satisfactorily with or without reasonable accommodation.

  • Develop and oversee corporate advertising strategies across print, radio, social media, email, direct mail, billboards, and more, maintaining a consistent brand voice and identity across all marketing channels
  • Manage the graphic design and creative specialist team including hiring, coaching, training and providing direction to team members through feedback to support personal development and ongoing improvement.
  • Lead brand, product, branch opening, and merger-related advertising campaigns
  • Manage social media strategy, oversee content, and expand the bank’s digital presence
  • Collaborate with market presidents, regional marketing coordinators, and internal departments to tailor advertising efforts
  • Manage creative performance reporting and testing strategies to continuously refine campaign effectiveness based on data insights and audience response
  • Direct and mentor graphic designers, managing workflow, design direction, and creative execution for collateral, web, and visual communications
  • Ensure advertising materials comply with regulatory guidelines and company policies
  • Oversee agency partnerships, compliance reviews, and approvals for marketing and advertising materials
  • Participate in budgeting, strategic planning, and resource allocation within the marketing department
  • Manage Relationship Expansion, Onboarding and Customer Acquisition programs
  • Serve as the strategic lead for external agency partners, guiding concept development, messaging strategy, and integrated media plans across multiple channels.
  • Oversee brand governance across all lines of business, acting as the final decision-maker on visual identity, voice, and creative consistency.
  • Lead cross-functional ideation sessions with executive stakeholders, translating complex business needs into compelling creative campaigns.
  • Cultivate an environment that supports inclusivity, teamwork, and performance. Provide leadership though communication, performance management, development and recognition of staff

Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities

  • Strong understanding of branding, advertising principles, copywriting, and integrated marketing strategies.
  • Deep knowledge of creative development processes across print, digital, video, and multimedia platforms.
  • Familiarity with financial services marketing and regulatory requirements for advertising and communications.
  • Expertise in design and video software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite), creative briefing processes, and media production.
  • Exceptional creative direction and concept development skills across a variety of marketing channels.
  • Demonstrate strong communication and storytelling skills across verbal, written, and visual domains, tailored to diverse audiences.
  • Excellent project management and organizational skills, with experience managing timelines, budgets, and multiple campaigns simultaneously.
  • Skilled in agency and vendor management, including briefing, reviewing creative, and providing constructive feedback.
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders and lead cross-functional initiatives.
  • Ability to translate strategic objectives into innovative and effective creative executions.
  • Ability to manage and inspire in-house creative talent and freelancers to produce high-quality work under tight deadlines.
  • Ability to maintain brand consistency while adapting creative for local, regional, or product-specific needs.

Experience:

  • 7+ years of experience in creative advertising, brand strategy, or a related field, including at least 5 years in a senior or supervisory role.
  • Proven experience developing and executing cross-channel advertising campaigns, preferably in financial services
  • Portfolio demonstrating expertise in brand storytelling, campaign development, and visual design leadership.
  • Experience working with internal creative teams and external agencies or production partners.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Advertising, Marketing, Communications, Graphic Design, or a related field required.
  • Master’s degree in a related discipline preferred.
  • Professional certifications in design, branding, or advertising strategy are a plus.
