Job Description Base Location: The Campus, YangonReporting to: Chief Technology Strategist Job Profile Lead and manage the design team in the development of solar-hybrid power systems for telecom, commercial & industrial, and rural electrification projects. Develop and review system designs, layouts, and schematics for solar PV, battery energy storage, and diesel generator hybrid systems. Ensure designs meet technical, regulatory, and safety standards, including IEC, IEEE, and Myanmar energy regulations. Optimize system configurations to enhance energy efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and reliability. Collaborate with project managers, procurement teams, and site engineers to ensure smooth project execution. Conduct technical feasibility studies and site assessments to support project planning and development. Manage the preparation of technical drawings, specifications, and documentation for permits and approvals. Stay updated on industry trends, technologies, and best practices in renewable energy design. Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and design team members. Job Specification Qualification: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Renewable Energy, or a related field. Experience Required: Minimum 5-7 years of experience in power system design, with a focus on solar PV, energy storage, and hybrid systems. Desirable Skills and Attributes: Strong knowledge of power distribution, load calculations, and energy management systems. Proficiency in design and simulation software such as AutoCAD, PVsyst, Homer Pro, Helioscope, and ETAP. Experience in managing engineering teams and coordinating with cross-functional stakeholders. Familiarity with Myanmar’s energy regulations and permitting process is a plus. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a multi-cultural environment.
