Base Pay: This role has a minimum base pay from $15.24 per hour with higher starting pay available based on experience.

Purpose: Floor & Decor Designers provide a seamless start-to-finish consultative design service that builds lasting relationships and brand loyalty with customers. They meet with customers, listen to project needs, educate on requirements, and create design concepts that incorporate personal style, lifestyle, and budget.

Minimum Eligibility Requirements:

• Minimum of one (1) year of interior design or retail/sales experience
• Design degree is a plus
• Knowledge of hard surface flooring is a plus
• Proficient in basic math skills
• Self-motivated with ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent communication skills
• Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office
• Internal candidates need 12 months of experience in a design consultant role

Essential Functions:

• Greet customers and support design needs
• Schedule appointments, develop clientele through networking and referrals
• Advise on tile, wood, stone, and accessories for residential and commercial projects
• Design and sell functional, appealing solutions
• Manage multiple projects with accuracy and communication
• Collaborate with store leadership to manage projects from inquiry to installation
• Support company initiatives and stay updated on design trends
• Utilize design applications like Salesforce, MyProject, etc.
• Perform other duties as assigned

Working Conditions:

• Limited travel may be required
• Exposure to warehouse environment and noise

Physical/Sensory Requirements: Medium work; ability to exert 20-50 pounds occasionally, handle objects, stand, walk, reach, and perform related physical tasks.

Store Hours: Monday - Friday 7:00 AM - 8:00 PM; Saturday 8:00 AM - 7:00 PM; Sunday 10:00 AM - 6:00 PM.
