The City of Great Falls is hiring for a position with a salary range of $21.46 to $22.55 hourly. The job is based in Great Falls, MT, and is classified as a regular full-time role. The job number is 25-00060 and is under the Police Department's Dispatch division. The position is open continuously.
The nature of the work involves receiving requests for information and assistance from the public and law enforcement. The role requires monitoring and dispatching emergency and non-emergency services, operating multiple computer systems, and providing medical assistance instructions. The position also involves preparing records and reports, accessing criminal history information, and maintaining effective working relationships.
Education and experience requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent, and six months of experience as a public safety dispatcher is desired. Necessary special qualifications include CPR certification, CJIN certification, and a valid Montana driver's license. Additional requirements include passing a psychological evaluation and an extensive background check.

The position is non-exempt and eligible for overtime, which must be authorized prior to working. Travel is primarily local, with occasional travel for off-site training and educational opportunities.
