PGS Worldwide is actively seeking a Senior Designer to join our team in Sterling Heights, MI, supporting innovative defense system development. This full-time, onsite contract position is ideal for an experienced CAD professional with strong Creo 9 experience and a passion for designing mission-critical mechanical and electro-mechanical systems.
In this role, you will collaborate with engineering, quality, and manufacturing teams to develop components, assemblies, and tooling for combat vehicle systems. Your contributions will support new product development and upgrades to legacy platforms, all within the scope of military and ASME standards.

Required Skills & Experience:
  • Minimum 9 years of design/drafting experience using Pro-E/Creo CAD systems
  • Associate Degree in engineering drafting/design or equivalent experience
  • Strong working knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
  • Proficiency in 3D modeling and CAD file manipulation
  • Must have current hands-on experience with Creo 9
  • In-depth understanding of military drawings, MILSPEC/STD standards, and ASME documentation
  • Experience preparing complex drawings, test plans, schematics, and change documentation
  • Ability to design with consideration for producibility, fit/finish/tolerance, and human factors
  • Capable of collaborating closely with systems engineers to meet contractual requirements
  • Onsite attendance required; remote work is not available for this role
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Prior experience with Model Based Definition (MBD)
  • Background in combat vehicle systems, especially if previously supporting BAE Systems
  • Strong familiarity with defense production methods and engineering environments
Key Responsibilities:
  • Create innovative mechanical and electro-mechanical designs for complex systems
  • Ensure models meet both operational and functional requirements
  • Prepare and verify engineering documentation to strict industry and military standards
  • Evaluate and validate designs for manufacturability, integration, and compliance
  • Participate in the development of design standards and design reviews
  • Provide expert CAD support to engineering teams and project stakeholders
