Key Responsibilities (What You Are Doing)
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive strategy for growth and engagement across Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, Twitter, Apple News, and other emerging platforms.
  • Manage and maintain a robust content calendar, ensuring a consistent posting cadence that reflects current events, trends, and cultural moments.
  • Collaborate with editors to shape and adapt editorial content for social platforms, ensuring tone, visuals, and messaging align with Town & Country's brand.
  • Create original social content and publish daily across platforms.
  • Monitor audience feedback, analytics, and platform trends to inform content strategy and editorial planning.
  • Partner with editorial, branded content, and marketing teams on social-first initiatives, including sponsored programs and campaigns.
  • Write occasional digital stories for the Town & Country website.
  • Support real-time coverage of cultural events, which may include occasional nights or weekends.
  • This role is currently based in the NYC office at least 3 days a week. No remote option.
Qualifications (What We're Looking For)
  • 6+ years of post-graduate experience managing social media for a consumer-facing editorial brand.
  • Deep cultural fluency with an eye for what's relevant, elegant, and timely.
  • Innovative and creative thinker with a strong sense of visual storytelling.
  • Excellent editorial judgment and clean, compelling writing skills.
  • Proficiency in major social platforms (including TikTok) and analytics tools such as Dash Hudson, True Anthem, and Google Analytics.
  • Collaborative spirit and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Comfortable working a hybrid schedule in New York City (3 days/week in-office).
  • Willingness to occasionally work flexible hours to cover major events or breaking news.

The base salary for this role is between $67,000 - $75,000. The actual base pay offered is dependent upon many factors, such as: transferable skills, work experience, business needs and market demands. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.

This is a position covered under the Writers Guild of America, East, Collective Bargaining Agreement.
