Base pay range
$80,000.00/yr - $110,000.00/yr

Currently, we are searching for a Senior Account Supervisor to join a division in our New York office that encompasses a variety of sectors and industries, including Travel, Hospitality, Transportation, Lifestyle, and Food & Beverage. This division also touches clients that mandate more corporate and business-related storytelling.
We’re looking for a creative thinker and communications strategist with strong media contacts, a proven track record in media relations, extensive experience in client relations, excellent writing skills, and strong attention to detail. The candidate will be comfortable working on teams in a shifting, fast-paced environment, and will be a creative problem-solver able to navigate an ever-changing media landscape.
The nature of the work provides a dynamic environment where members of the team are asked to adapt quickly to a changing media landscape while working with reporters, bloggers, producers, and content creators across numerous beats/topic areas. No two days are the same, and we like it that way.
We work closely with DKC’s other groups, including Sports, Public Affairs, Tech, Entertainment, Hospitality, Data/Analytics, and our creative shop, HangarFour. We value self-starters with a curious mind who hold client service in the highest regard.

Now, a little about you:
- Smart, energetic, savvy professional with sophisticated media relations expertise, creative thinking, and digital experience – with preference given to candidates with a demonstrable proficiency in social media-focused content creation.
- 4-7 years’ experience in public relations and integrated communications, with interest in travel, hospitality, health/wellness, business brand,s and corporate clients. Agency experience preferred.
Specific requirements are as follows:
- Must be able to thoroughly understand clients’ strategic imperatives/business objectives and actively participate in the development of strategic plans, communications programs, etc.
- Must be able to offer senior DKC staff and -- where appropriate -- the client opinion and direction during the development of strategic plans, communications programs, etc.
- Must be a creative thinker who will look to potential partnerships and activations that will drive consumer press interest
Writing
- Must be proficient in the creation of all press materials such as pitch letters, press releases, fact sheets, bios, etc. in accordance with the client’s strategic objectives, brand identity, etc.
- Must be able to clearly and concisely define key messaging to advance a client’s voice
- Must be proficient in the creation of internal and external documents such as memoranda, client updates, etc.
- Must be able to direct junior staff on the creation of all materials and serve as a buffer to the team leader.
Media Relations/Publicity
- Must have deep relationships at multiple levels at major national and New York-based traditional and new media outlets, as well as outlets relevantto clients you will service.
- Must be able to implement – with significant autonomy - impactful publicity with the frequency to accomplish the client’s strategic imperatives/business objectives.
- Must take responsibility for creating and executing forums, sessions, social engagements, etc., where fellow DKC colleagues can meet and/or develop relationships with relevant members of the media.

Client Service
- Must meet all deadlines under any circumstances
- Must be able to communicate clearly, comfortably, and in an informed/prepared manner with senior DKC staff and independently with clients on a daily basis.
- Must instill confidence in senior DKC staff and clients.
Leadership
- Must demonstrate a willingness and ability to lead. This includes professionally directing and supervising subordinate staff, problem-solving, and mentoring.
- Must hold subordinate staff to deadlines and quality standards.
New Business
- Must show a willingness to learn about originating new business, participate in new business sessions, and take part in pitches.
- Must have an ability to originate new business.
