JOB SUMMARY FOR AUDIO VISUAL INSTALLATION TECHNICIAN


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.


Technical Production


  • Assist with technical assistance for Cenero's basic and advanced integration projects
  • Understand basic level experience and ability on technical processes, hardware, and software
  • Work with the Lead Installation technician on technical assistance for signal flow
  • Assist in calibrating & tuning audio and video levels and signals per standards
  • Diagnose and correct signal flow issues with troubleshooting methods under guidance

Mechanical Production


  • Provide mechanical assistance for integration projects
  • Understand basic mechanical processes, materials, and tools
  • Ensure hardware is installed safely and as per design standards
  • Load/unload, pack, and secure materials properly for transit

Production Support


  • Utilize room check and dry-run processes to ensure job completion
  • Maintain a clean and orderly work environment
  • Participate in lessons learned and improvement processes
  • Report daily updates to the Lead Installation Technician and Production Manager

Engineering & Sales Support


  • Maintain proper PPE protocol at all times
  • Understand document control processes for field mark-ups

Other Responsibilities


  • Maintain client interaction and site assessments
  • Ensure safety training is current

Qualifications


  • High school, trade school, or college education and/or experience
  • Basic knowledge and experience with AV equipment or construction
  • Knowledge of VTC, ATC, networking hardware/software (preferred)
  • Knowledge of TCP/IP networking (preferred)
  • Proficiency with Windows-based computers and software
  • Customer service experience
  • Positive attitude, strong work ethic, team-oriented

Language Skills


  • Ability to interpret technical documents and drawings
  • Effective response to customer inquiries
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills

Mathematical Skills


Ability to apply principles of algebra and equations.


Certificates, Licenses, and Training


  • Valid driver's license (preferred)
  • OSHA 10 hours construction (preferred)
  • Infocomm CTS certification (preferred)

Physical Demands


Must be able to lift 75 pounds regularly and work overhead on ladders, lifts, scaffolding. Able to sit, stand, walk, and operate equipment as required.


Work Environment


Primarily client sites across the NYC Metro area, ranging from construction to professional offices. Occasional travel to remote sites.

Compensation Transparency


Hourly rate from $21.50 to $29.75, based on experience and skills. Benefits start immediately.
