MERS/Missouri Goodwill Industries is seeking an energetic, self-motivated, and professional E-Commerce Manager - Shipping & Library to join our E-Commerce team! Qualifications

High School Diploma/GED required; bachelor's degree preferred. At least three years of Retail Management experience is required, with Goodwill Retail experience preferred. A valid MO or IL state driver’s license and insurance are also required. The candidate should possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including customer service, conflict resolution, and teamwork. Leadership skills should include quality decision-making, goal-setting, and problem-solving, with the ability to motivate and lead employees and hold them accountable. Comfort with workplace technology such as registers, scheduling, and inventory management software is necessary. Typing speed of 40+ WPM is strongly preferred.

Primary Duties/Responsibilities

  • Oversee E-commerce Shipping and warehouse operations, resources, and budgets to meet or exceed all goals and benchmarks.
  • Model core values to foster a culture committed to safety, ethics, and quality within the store.
  • Supervise, direct, and train staff, ensuring they perform their primary functions effectively.
  • Provide excellent internal and external customer service to ensure donor, shopper, and staff retention, and resolve customer issues promptly.
  • Coach and counsel employees regarding job performance, including disciplinary actions up to termination.
  • Exercise independent judgment in assigning daily duties to achieve operational goals.
  • Identify and recommend employees for advancement based on performance.
  • Protect company property and personal information from harm, damage, loss, or theft. Report any theft, misconduct, or unauthorized possession of company property.
  • Follow, enforce, and model all agency policies, procedures, and values.
  • Use effective staffing methods to ensure proper store staffing. Arrange replacements when necessary. Audit and approve payroll.
  • Implement process improvements to eliminate wasteful practices.
  • Maintain a professional appearance in accordance with MERS Goodwill’s dress code.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
