About Askable
Hey there! We’re Askable – the world’s most loved user research platform, trusted by global brands like Mars, Mastercard, Visa, Pizza Hut, and Accenture.
Founded in Australia in 2017, Askable began as an idea scribbled on a sticky note, born out of frustration with the clunky, outdated research processes we’d experienced firsthand. So, we set out to build a new way—one that makes quality research accessible to everyone, from Fortune 500s to startups hungry for insights.
By providing seamless access to high-quality participants and Certified Askable Researchers, we enable teams to scale research on demand, deliver insights faster, and, ultimately, build things that matter.
Now with offices in Brisbane, London, and Chicago, we’re growing the team to bring Askable’s research power to researchers everywhere, so they can make smarter, user-driven decisions.

Our culture
Our culture drives everything we do. We live it, breathe it, and work every day to make Askable a place where people can thrive.
We believe work should be fulfilling, exciting, and meaningful.
Here, you’re not just part of a team. You’re part of a community that cares about what they’re building and how they’re building it.
In fact, we take culture so seriously that we wrote a book on it. Our Culture Book guides what we stand for, how we work, and the values that unite us—because nothing beats winning with a team you genuinely love working with.

About The Role
Askable has a global network of researchers that’s brimming with potential. We need you to help us activate this 750-strong community, not just for research capacity but for content creation, brand promotion, event facilitation, and more.
This role goes beyond typical community management – it’s about turning these researchers into Ambassadors who actively promote Askable and extend our reach far beyond what a single team could achieve alone.
As the Community Manager, your mission will be to empower this global network, equipping them with the tools and confidence to represent Askable in meetups, on social media, and within their professional circles. Whether they’re attending or organizing events, creating content, or promoting the Askable brand, you’ll be driving a grassroots effort to build our presence in the US and beyond.
––––––––––––––––––––
What You’ll Do
Activate and Monetize the Researcher Network
- Host weekly “Askable+ Info Sessions” for current and prospective researchers. To do this you'll:
- Design and iterate on session topics, slide decks, and follow‑up materials
- Maintain ongoing engagement—surface new incentives
- Writing blog posts, articles, or case studies
- Running and moderating research studies
- Reviewing peers’ study designs and outputs
- Organizing in‑person UX events or meetups
- Referring corporate clients or projects
- Hosting Askable webinars or virtual workshops
- Identify and engage key influencers in UX, product design, and research (starting with Chicago)
- Qualify and train selected researchers via demos, playbooks, and best-practice strategies
- Support Ambassadors as they run local events, create content, and engage on social media
Extract Value and Drive Leads
- Surface qualified introductions and inbound sales opportunities from community activity
- Step in to rescue or retool underperforming initiatives (e.g., low-attendance webinars)
- Gather feedback, event attendance data, and content performance from the network
Skills And Experience You’ll Bring
To hit the ground running in this role you’ll need a bachelors degree and at least 2 years experience in community management roles (or similar).
Ideally, You'll Be Able To Show That You Have
- Experience building and activating professional communities (preferably in UX, design, or tech).
- A track record of recruiting, training, and empowering ambassadors/influencers to create content and run events.
- Strong event management skills, including both virtual (webinars, workshops) and in‑person meetups.
- The ability to create and guide content (blogs, case studies, social posts) that drives brand awareness.
- Familiarity with grassroots marketing and growing brand presence in targeted geographic markets.
- Skills in relationship management, handling incentives, payments, and coordinating with multiple stakeholders.
- Experience analyzing community engagement data to optimize initiatives.
- Confidence with public speaking and facilitating sessions, webinars, and live events.
The mindset you’ll need
- Winning with your team: You’ll be proud of the individual work you do, but find winning as team ultimately more fulfilling. This includes having the emotional maturity to give and receive constructive feedback to better the team as a whole.
- Independence and curiosity: You won’t find cabinets full of step by step instructions at Askable. You’ll need to think on your feet, manage your own workflow, problem-solve roadblocks, proactively ask questions, and take responsibility for the goals you set.
- Growth focussed: You’ll enjoy the idea of a stretch goal and always be looking for opportunities to improve yourself, your team, and the business.
- Quick to learn: You’ll bring an ability to quickly learn and understand our product solutions and features, and keep up to date as our offerings evolve.
Perks and benefits
Your excitement about the role itself is what matters most to us. Perks are just the icing on the cake—but let us share a few to whet your appetite.
- Competitive Salary
- Generous Paid Time Off (plus extra ‘Askable Days’ – a full day off just for you each month)
- Great Health Insurance
- Opportunities for international travel, including training in Australia
️ Before you go...
Research shows many people (especially women and minority groups) hesitate to apply unless they meet every single requirement. At Askable, we’re committed to building diverse teams with unique perspectives. If you’re excited about this role but your experience doesn’t align perfectly, we’d still love to hear from you.
