JOB DESCRIPTION
Fox News Digital is seeking an experienced Reporter to join the US News/Crime team. You should be a seasoned reporter with extensive national newsroom experience and a wide range of sources to enable breaking news and original, exclusive reporting.
Note: This is NOT an on-air role.
You will be offered one of the following shifts:
- Monday-Friday, 11:00 AM - 7:00 PM ET
- Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM ET
- Monday-Friday, 2:00 PM - 10:00 PM ET
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Focus on original, enterprise, and investigative reporting
- Respond to breaking US news and produce accurate stories under pressure
- Create stories with original video, interviews, photos, and graphics
- Maintain a robust network of criminal, legal, and police contacts
- Pitch daily story ideas and execute short- and long-term assignments
QUALIFICATIONS
- 3+ years of professional newsroom experience
- Experience covering US news at a national media outlet; digital experience preferred
- Experience covering crime, courts, legal matters, and investigations
- Working knowledge of AI
- Proficiency in AP style writing
- Experience with PACER, LexisNexis, FOIA requests
- Knowledge of SEO
- Experience using digital analytics tools
- Ability to craft compelling headlines
- CMS and WordPress experience
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally
- Competitive spirit and proactive networking skills
- On-call mentality for emergency or breaking news situations
- Passion for news consumption

Pursuant to pay disclosure requirements, the salary range for this role is $74,000 - $90,000 annually, depending on education, skills, experience, and location. Benefits include medical, dental, vision insurance, 401(k), paid time off, and other benefits as per plan documents. Benefits for union employees are in accordance with the collective bargaining agreement.
