The Senior Accountant is responsible for overseeing all core accounting functions, including general ledger management, month-end close, financial reporting, payroll, and operational accounting workflows. This role plays a critical part in supporting the agency’s financial integrity and performance. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical accounting expertise, a proactive, solutions-oriented mindset, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Lead on execution of the month-end close processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial statements
• Prepare general ledger account reconciliations, journal entries, and variance analyses and review discrepancies with supervisor
• Own Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable processes, ensuring accurate entries, timely issue resolution, and strong vendor/client finance coordination
• Support internal and external audits by providing documentation and responding to inquiries
• Process semi-monthly payroll from start to finish, including coordination with HR, benefit reconciliations, corrections, funding, and ensuring accuracy and compliance across all components
• Collaborate cross-functionally with operations, client finance, and leadership to ensure efficiency and effectiveness in process
• Maintain general ledger integrity and ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting standards
• Assist with process improvements and system enhancements, seeking out new opportunities and proposing recommendations
• Drive reporting, analytics, and ad hoc financial projects that require both strategic insight and hands-on execution across operational and client finance areas

EDUCATION

• Bachelors Degree in Accounting

EXPERIENCE

• 4+ years of accounting experience in an advertising agency
• Prior public accounting experience preferred

KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS

• Strong knowledge of accounting principles (GAAP) and financial reporting standards
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, formulas, and data analysis
• Familiarity with accounting systems such as NetSuite, QuickBooks, or similar ERP

platforms

• Exceptional attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, work independently, and collaborate effectively

across teams

• Exemplify unwavering integrity and adhere to the highest ethical standards in all aspects of their conduct and work
