Position Overview

Cumulus Media | Oxnard-Ventura is looking for a creative, engaging, and versatile Part-Time Air Talent to join our team across three iconic stations: KHAY, KBBY, and KRUZ. This is a unique opportunity to be part of a dynamic cluster that values personality, local connection, and compelling content. Key Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities & Qualifications

  • Produce compelling entertainment through creativity, imagination, and sound editorial judgment in writing, producing, and interviewing
  • Engage with listeners through phone calls, texts, social media, video, and web platforms.
  • Conduct artist and guest interviews, and host live events and remotes.
  • Participate in station programming, promotions, and sales meetings as needed.
  • Assist in the production and imaging of station content.
  • Deliver timely and accurate emergency news and weather updates; be on-call for breaking news and weather-related events.

Qualifications

  • Prior on-air experience with a proven track record of ratings success preferred.
  • Strong production and audio editing skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and social media platforms.
  • Solid understanding of FCC rules and regulations.
  • Socially aware and perceptive, with a strong grasp of local and national trends.
  • Demonstrated creativity and imagination on air and on-line.
  • Team player who thrives in a collaborative environment.
  • A demo showcasing your on-air work, interviews, commentary, social media, and any video content should be included with your application.

Pay Range

USD $20.00 - USD $25.00 /Hr.
