Position:Associate Editor

Location: Honolulu

Salary: $48,000- $51,000 annually, depending on experience

Local organization looking for an Associate Editor!

Job duties include:

• Gathering and verifying information with sources
• Writing stories and news briefs
• Create digital content for various online sources
• Use AP style to edit and proofread documents
• Obtain photos and art related to stories
• Communicate with internal team members
• Meet deadlines for publications
• Attend monthly content planning meetings
• Network with individuals within the industry
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

• Must have 3+ years of similar experience
• Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Communications or English
• Must have strong attention to detail and organizational skills
