Position Overview

This is a part-time (adjunct) faculty position. Candidates will be interviewed and hired on an as-needed basis throughout the academic year.

Department: Creative Arts

Location: College-Wide

Reports To: Associate Dean

Employment Type: Part-Time Faculty

Work Schedule: To be determined based on needs. Classes may be during day, evening, or weekend. Please indicate availability when applying.

Responsibilities

• Teach courses in visual communications and design for print, web, and interactive media.
• Prepare and deliver learning activities to meet course outcomes.
• Create course materials such as syllabi, assignments, and handouts.
• Evaluate and grade student work, maintain records and submit documentation timely.
• Be available for student coaching and support.
• Participate in meetings related to teaching duties and professional development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Design or related field.
• Ability to teach Visual Communication and Graphic Design courses.
• Proficiency in communication, presentation, and industry-standard design software.
• At least 2 years of recent professional experience in graphic design.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office or equivalent.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to respond to community needs.

Preferred Qualifications

• Portfolio including web design and interactive interface design.
• Teaching experience.

Additional Notes

Must reside in Ohio and be within commuting distance of the campus. Compensation is $942.00 per Equated Semester Unit (ESU).
