Unified Communications Administrator

The Alaka`ina Foundation Family of Companies (FOCs) is looking for a Unified Communications Administrator to support our government customer located in O'ahu, Hawai'i.

Provide administrative support for Unified Communications requirements under NEC Baseline support and for Mission Support.

Description of Responsibilities:

  • Provide oversight, administrative, and technical support for Unified Communications requirements under NEC Baseline support and for Mission support as required.
  • Provide voice service (analog, digital, IP) on Government property on Oahu, HI to connect to any location worldwide.
  • Manage the configuration and maintenance of digital, Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) end user telephone device. Operate and maintain the VoIP Local Session Controller for the installation infrastructure.
  • Provide moves, additions, changes to user accounts, and network configuration for DISA Enterprise Voice over IP (EVoIP) customers and Enterprise Classified Voice over IP (ECVoIP) customers.
  • Schedules and/or provides local touch labor, such as troubleshooting, repair, and changing cable pairs.
  • Provide Central Office (CO) switch features; for example, call forwarding, call transfer (3-way conference), ring again, last number redial, call pickup, speed calling, caller identification (ID), and other phone supported features.
  • Provide access to service for the transmission of official Government business, to include on post, local commercial, and Defense Switched Network (DSN).
  • Other duties as assigned by Supervisor.

Required Degree/Education/Certification:

  • Bachelor's degree and minimum three (3) years of relevant experience.
  • Bachelor's degree requirement may be supplemented with High School diploma and five (5)+ years of experience, if DCWF (The DoD Cyber Workforce Framework) requirement is satisfied through military training or certifications.
  • Certification IAW DCWF System Administrator Basic [Work Role - (WR) 451].
  • Must possess and maintain DoD 8570.01 IAM Level II certification (Comp TIA Security +CE or CISSP preferred).
  • Collaboration Concentration Exam (CCNP) preferred.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Experience with CISCO Unified Communication Manager suite of products.
  • Work may involve sitting or standing for extended periods of time. Must be able to lift 30lbs to waist height.
  • May be required to work overtime.
  • Rotational callback and emergency duty are requirements of this position.

Required Citizenship and Clearance:

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
