Designer / Drafter Job at Embark Recruiting Solutions in Columbus

Our client is a cryogenic and vacuum equipment designer, manufacturer and supplier to national laboratories, defense and launch facilities. Our client is seeking a highly qualified person to fill the role of Drafter/Designer. This is a six month contract to hire position.

Responsibilities:

• Design/Draft cryogenic piping and process equipment
• Create shop drawings from models
• Provide manufacturing support
• Design and development of engineered products
• Analyze and suggest design improvements in existing products
• Provide technical assistance to customers and prospects
• Other duties as assigned

• Applicable technical degree (experience in a similar professional position will be considered in lieu of a degree)
• Familiarity with ASME B&PV Code and B31.3 Pipe Code
• CAD skills consisting of Autodesk product suite and Solid Modeling using Inventor
• Detail oriented with excellent organizational skills and excellent verbal/written communication skills
• Proficient with Microsoft Office suite of products
• Ability to work effectively with other departments, external partners, and customers with minimal supervision
