Athletic Communications Department:

Operating proactively and collaboratively as part of Lafayette College's Communications Division, the Athletic Communications Department serves to publicize and promote Lafayette through the College's 23 NCAA Division I sports. Utilizing strategic public relations, marketing and communications efforts, Lafayette's outstanding student-athletes are showcased for their incredible balance of athletic endeavors and academic pursuits.

Responsibilities:

Responsibilities include serving as the primary contact for several sports to be determined by strengths of applicant pool and department needs. Assistant will handle publicity for assigned sports, including but not limited writing and posting game previews and recaps on GoLeopards.com, maintaining social media accounts and possibly have game-staffing duties.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

Strong writing and computer skills are required. A background or experience in public relations, sports information, or communications is preferable along with a passion for and knowledge of college athletics. The applicant must have the ability to work one full sports season. Experience with statistical software (The Automated Scorebook, Genius, etc.) preferred.

Stipend:

Hourly wage comparable to experience and skills. Hours will vary by week and sports season.
