OPPORTUNITY SUMMARY
The Field Service Engineer (FSE) will diagnose and repair audiovisual, videoconferencing, and IT systems in the field. The role involves working independently within guidelines, interacting with employees, customers, and colleagues, and managing multiple tasks and projects effectively.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include:
- Travel to client sites to support audiovisual, videoconferencing, and IT systems.
- Diagnose and resolve system problems, manage service tickets.
- Repair systems, re-terminate cables, provide remote support.
- Configure and program equipment.
- Interface with manufacturers for issue resolution.
- Advise on repair or replacement of defective products.
- Document activities and maintain records.
- Provide technical training to clients and personnel.
- Deliver professional customer service, build technical credibility.
- Represent Cenero professionally with senior clients.
- Communicate complex technical concepts clearly.
- Coordinate activities with subcontractors, manufacturers, and team members.
- Respond promptly to notifications.
- Perform duties of a Technical Service Engineer when not in the field.
- Answer customer requests via phone, email, video; produce service quotes; keep digital records; maintain a positive attitude; perform other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
- At least two years of related experience or training.
- Knowledge of audiovisual and related systems.
- Understanding of networking protocols and systems.
- Proficiency with Windows and office software.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to work independently or in a team.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean record for at least 3 years.
- Preferred: audiovisual installation experience, manufacturer certifications.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
- CTS certification preferred.
- Additional industry certifications preferred.
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
Salary range: $64,500 to $97,500, based on experience and location. Benefits include healthcare, 401K, paid time off, on-site gym, tuition assistance, professional development, and more. Benefits start on Day One.
