Job Title: Computer System Analyst III (Audio Visual Systems Engineer)

Location : Fort Sill, OK.

Background : United States Army Fires Center of Excellence (FCoE) has the mission to train, educate, and develop Soldiers and Leaders; create and develop capabilities; and provide a Fires Force to support the Joint Warfighting Commander across the spectrum of operations in Joint and Multinational environments. The US Army Fires Center of Excellence – Fort Sill (USAFCOEFS) Chief Information Office Support Staff has the responsibility to provide Information Technology (IT) services to USAFCOEFS. The sustainment of current and emerging IT support is a critical enabler to accomplish all USAFCOEFS missions.

Duties:

  • Ensure COR is informed of any concerns or issues with audio, visual, lighting and videoconferencing (AVL-VC) systems that are not able to perform as designed within four (4) hours.
  • Assume Audio Visual Specialist duties as required based on government needs.
  • Provide AVL-VC support for 425 classrooms, conference rooms and auditoriums to ensure all equipment is operational and required maintenance is being performed.
  • Develop post wide plans for AVL-VC systems sustainment, operations, and enhancements to include conceptual design and cost estimates.
  • Participate in planning meetings for large special events to determine user AVL-VC requirements.
  • Remain in facilities to operate and/or provide guidance to other operators to ensure all AVL-VC systems perform as designed during major events.
  • Configure AV systems and equipment such as Crestron, AMX, Extron, Biamp, matrix mixers and switchers.
  • Provide user training on the correct operations and maintenance of AVL-VC systems.
  • Troubleshoot wired or wireless data networks to support AVL-VC systems. Develop problem statements that will be provided to network support staff for resolution as required.
  • Perform Needs Assessment Analysis and site surveys for technology systems with organizations post wide to create conceptual design and cost estimates.
  • Provide technical information to the G6 to assist in the creation of a Request for Quote for requested technology systems.
  • Provide technical support to engage contracting office and assist with oversight of technology systems projects or upgrades to existing systems.
  • Keep a daily log of all work performed.
  • Create SharePoint tickets for each classroom issue reported.
  • Create Enterprise Classroom Program (ECP) tickets and AESMP tickets as needed to resolve issues reported.
  • Provide COR monthly reports of work completed or work pending completion. on the first normal duty day of each month.
  • Sustain and operate Senior Leadership AVL-VC systems to perform as designed at all times.
  • Repair Senior Leadership AVL-VC systems within 10 working days of notification or obtain COR approved delay of repair pending additional guidance.
  • Sustain non-Senior Leadership AVL-VC systems to perform as designed.
  • Repair non-Senior Leadership AVL-VC systems within 15 calendar days of notification or obtain COR-approved delay of repair pending additional guidance.
  • Physically ability to walk, stand, kneel, squat, bend, lift and push while performing various job tasks.
  • Work at heights (catwalks, lifts, etc.), in dimly lit venues, and around restricted/tight spaces when necessary.
  • Lift and transport moderately heavy equipment (up to 50 pounds).

Experience:

  • Have a minimum of 10+ years of experience with the design, development, implementation, installation, operations and sustainment of Audio, Visual, Lighting and Videoconferencing (AVL-VC) systems for large and small facilities.
  • Have a basic knowledge/understanding of all equipment settings as they pertain to the normal operation of an Audio Visual & Information Technology systems.
  • Possess 10+ years of verifiable Digital Sound Processor (DSP), Digital Projection and Digital display, Control Systems Equipment Installation and Operations experience.
  • Possess the ability to read and understand architectural plans and schematic line drawings.

Education/Qualifications:

  • Preferred BA/BS in a technology related field but not required.
  • Possess a SECRET clearance or able to obtain an INTERIM SECRET clearance.
  • Possess a current InfoComm International - Certified Technology Specialist-General Certification (CTS).
