The ideal candidate will have strong technical knowledge of video surveillance, access control, intrusion detection, and physical security systems, including gates, fencing, and barriers. They should have hands-on experience designing systems from manufacturers such as Milestone and Lenel. Familiarity with Perimeter Intrusion Detection Systems (PIDS)—including FLIR thermal technologies, ground radar, and fence detection solutions like Southwest Microwave—is required, along with a basic understanding of video analytics. The role also requires expertise in developing Division 28 specifications and applying quality control techniques to ensure alignment between specifications and drawing packages. Proficiency with current versions of Revit and AutoCAD is essential.

This position requires a strong foundation in technical design and construction, with a focus on collaboration, documentation, and problem-solving throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:

• Produce detailed and timely project deliverables such as annotated floor plans, mounting details, single-line diagrams, device schedules, and division specifications.

• Support client needs through design development, field visits, basis of design narratives, and construction documentation.

• Review submittals and RFIs while supporting the team through construction completion.

• Collaborate with subject matter experts, project managers, and BIM staff to develop coordinated technology packages for architects, contractors, and clients.

• Develop fully detailed diagrams and design drawings that are clear for field implementation.

• Prepare design documents in Revit and AutoCAD that comply with applicable codes and standards.

• Contribute to conceptual planning and assist with project management tasks including scheduling and documentation.

• Perform construction administration tasks and facilitate smooth project delivery.

• Provide mentorship and share technical knowledge with other team members.

• Stay informed on the latest technologies and participate in ongoing education and training.
