Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Fashion & Textile Associate Designer located in Manhattan, NY. The Fashion & Textile Associate Designer will assist the design team in creating and developing new product designs. Key responsibilities include researching industry trends, participating in design reviews, and managing design calendars.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design, Textiles, or a related field
- Experience in the fashion industry, preferably as a design assistant or associate designer
- Strong conceptual and design skills, with the ability to translate ideas into marketable products
- Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite and other design software
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced team environment
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Understanding of textiles and fabrics, including dyeing, printing, and finishing processes
- Knowledge of garment construction and fitting is a plus
