Job purpose
Manage and foster positive relationships with key stakeholders, including government agencies, regulators, and other key stakeholders, to support business growth, compliance, and sustainability
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement strategies to build and maintain healthy relationships with government agencies, regulators, and other key stakeholders.
- Interpret and communicate government policies, laws, and regulations that affect the organization’s business and operations, especially the agribusiness and production sector in general
- Advocate for the company’s interests by engaging constructively with government officials and industry associations
- Support the business in obtaining necessary permits, licenses, and approvals in a timely manner.
- Represent the company at meetings, forums, and events involving government and other external stakeholders.
- Proactively identify and manage risks related to regulatory compliance and government relations.
- Prepare reports, briefs, and position papers on regulatory developments and stakeholder engagements.
- Identify and mitigate regulatory risks that could impact business operations.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Public Administration, Political Science, Agriculture, Animal Science, Business Administration, Law, or related field
- 5 years’ experience insimilar or related roles, preferably within agribusiness, manufacturing, or livestock sectors.
- Strong network within relevant stakeholders
- Demosntrate maturity and ability to constructively engage with stakeholders
- Familiarity with the aribusiness sector policies, standards, and regulations affecting the poultry and animal feed industry.
- Excellent Public Relations, Communication, Negotiation, Networking, and Interpersonal skills
- High integrity, discretion, and ability to work independently
