Position Overview
ID.me is seeking a Data Scientist to help pioneer the Data Science function within the company, focusing on Marketing and Lifecycle Communications. This role will enable ID.me to manage complex data interactions and member expectations effectively. The Data Scientist V will play a critical role in enhancing platform security, usability, and personalization, driving member and partner engagement. This position is pivotal in transforming ID.me into a trusted, centralized service for data management across the digital landscape.
Responsibilities
- Data Analysis and Integration: Analyze large datasets to identify patterns in member behavior and ensure data integrity during authentication processes.
- Machine Learning and Predictive Modeling: Develop models to predict data changes and anticipate member needs, reducing friction in data updates.
- Data Quality Assurance: Implement validation and cleansing techniques to maintain data accuracy, developing automated correction systems.
- Profile Management Innovation: Lead initiatives to create dynamic, context-aware member profiles to enhance personalization.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Work with technical teams, product managers, and stakeholders to improve data governance and ensure compliance.
- Data Governance and Strategy: Develop data policies supporting scalable and secure operations, advising on data-driven decisions.
Marketing and Lifecycle Responsibilities
- Campaign Analytics: Analyze campaign performance, providing insights on funnel metrics and ROI.
- Audience Insights: Segment audiences and develop personas for targeted marketing.
- Forecasting: Use data to predict outcomes and set goals.
- Experimentation: Design tests to optimize messaging and media strategies.
- Retention Analytics: Build models to identify at-risk members and suggest interventions.
- Marketing Mix Modeling: Quantify channel impacts to support budgeting and planning.
Basic Qualifications
- 7+ years in data science within SaaS or mature startups
- BS/MS in Data Science or related field
- 3+ years experience with SQL and Python
The salary range varies based on experience, skills, and location, excluding bonuses, equity, and benefits.

The U.S. pay range is $164,000$219,000 USD; in Mountain View, CA, $194,000$242,000 USD.
