We’re looking for an Assistant Designer for our men’s activewear business! This is an exciting opportunity to learn, grow and will work closely with our Design Manager. This person will help to bring a seasonal line to life on a time sensitive calendar through researching current trends, ideating new product ideas, attending fittings, preparing color boards, and reviewing product quality. They will also collaborate with cross functional teams such as Technical Design, Graphic Design, Production, Product Development, and Sales.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct trend market research of colors, materials, trims, and styling to bring new inspiration to the table
• Collaborate with Design team on seasonal design concepts and trend boards
• Create detailed sketches that are understandable for buyers and factories, utilizing Adobe Illustrator
• Work with Senior Designer to manage CADs and line sheets with all updates for color, graphic, and details
• Build and maintain detailed tech packs for sampling, costing, and production using PLM
• Keep samples and raw materials libraries organized and accessible
• Attend fittings and help evaluate fit samples for design details
• Communicate efficiently with cross functional partners including Merchandising, Graphic, Technical Design, Production, Sales, and Planning teams
• Communicate with Shanghai sample room in the sample development process
• Ability to communicate and problem solve product development issues
• Ensure workflow meets the needs of the seasonal design calendar

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design
• 1+ year of design experience
• Proficiency in Illustrator, Photoshop, Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
• PLM experience is a plus
• Adaptable with the ability to handle work pressures with a positive attitude
• Keen to attention to detail and strong organization skills
• Strong sense of trend research and ability to demonstrate design point of view
• Openness to learn and collaborate with a variety of people

Annual salary range: $50,000 - $55,000

The disclosed salary range is commensurate with experience and does not reflect the total compensation package. Our associates have access to other valuable benefits that our Human Resources team is happy to share with candidates during the interview process.
