Digital Media Support Specialist


Qualifications

  • Shall have a minimum of a High School Diploma or GED
  • Minimum of four (4) years of experience in professional photography, videography, or media arts
  • Proficient in pre- and post-digital editing software and computer skills
  • Knowledge of MS Office, strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent organizational skills

Position Responsibilities

  1. The Contractor shall provide specialized still photographic and videographic support for PFPA, operating advanced digital imaging camera systems and other associated equipment essential for high-quality visual documentation. The Contractor will take, process, edit, and manage approximately 20,800 photo and video files annually, ensuring each content file meets agency and DoD standards.
  2. The Contractor shall edit photos and videos for presentation, including all necessary post-production processes to create professional content. Files must be optimized for sharing across multiple channels while maintaining content integrity. Each action results in one deliverable report, estimated to take up to one hour.
  3. The Contractor shall compose captions and short features for images intended for internal and external communication, including social media posts, news articles, or releases, using photo newsgathering techniques. Each action results in one deliverable report, estimated to take up to one hour.
  4. The Contractor shall create image tags where appropriate (e.g., for websites) and ensure digital images and videos meet Operations Security (OPSEC) requirements. Each action results in one deliverable report, estimated to take up to one hour.
  5. The Contractor shall organize and manage PFPA digital imaging files in accordance with Department of Defense (DoD) policy.
  6. The Contractor shall create and manage a database of the Corporate Communications Office’s (CCO) digital imagery, including historic photographs. Each action results in one deliverable report, estimated to take up to one hour.
  7. The Contractor shall, upon request, take photographs or videos in support of planned exercises, trainings, or in response to incidents. These events may occur periodically after hours or on weekends, with scheduled exercises and trainings, and rare incidents that could happen at any time.
