Job Summary

The Design Center Operations and Visual Merchandising Manager oversees all operational activities and visual merchandising sets within the design center, partnering with the Director, Store Experience Strategy. This role includes managing quarterly visual merchandising sets, physical sample inventory, daily sample processing, and maintaining the overall condition of the design center. Strong leadership, organizational skills, and a keen eye for detail are essential.

Essential Functions

1. Lead and develop the design center visual merchandising team, including Sample Processing Coordinators and the Visual Merchandising Coordinator, fostering a high-productivity environment.
2. Coach and develop the team to ensure high productivity.
3. Collaborate with the Plano Sample Manager on sample transportation, delivery, and processing, ensuring alignment with assortment strategies.
4. Plan and execute the merchandising of all visual initiative displays prior to quarterly line finals, ensuring strategic intent and impactful presentation.
5. Utilize merchant calendars to plan design center activities and meet critical milestones.
6. Serve as the subject matter expert on all samples within the product line.
7. Implement and manage the sample management process documentation.
8. Maintain a well-organized, clean, and efficient sample design center facility.
9. Support the visual merchandising sample processing team.
10. Build and maintain strong relationships with merchant and marketing teams.
11. Promote efficient workflow, organization, and communication within the team.
12. Identify and resolve problems proactively, adapting to changes as needed.

Qualifications

1. High school diploma or equivalent.
2. 2-3 years of experience in visual merchandising or marketing.
3. This position requires on-site presence at the home office.
4. Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
5. Exceptional attention to detail, organizational skills, a positive attitude, and strong initiative.
6. Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
7. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
8. High energy and a sense of urgency.
