Job Summary

Legacy Risk Solutions and PointeNorth Insurance Group are seeking candidates for the position of Producer (Commercial Lines, Transportation, and Group Benefits)

  • Prospects, develops, proposes and acquires new business revenue through sales to new and existing clients.
  • Create and maintains prospect list by developing and building professional contacts and networking.
  • Adheres to Company best practices and processes to obtain and maintain accurate information from prospects and clients; including completed applications, supplemental questionnaires, risk surveys, and other related documentation in order to provide complete, comprehensive submissions and quotes.
  • Works effectively with Service Team to provide prompt and professional customer service to retain clients.
  • Accurately documents client files and electronic files with client discussions, quotes, and coverage needs into company data management system.
  • Develops and maintains relationships with underwriters.
  • Renews existing clients every year
  • Cross sells corporate clients property & casualty, personal insurance and benefits policies
  • Participates in professional development activities to continue improving knowledge base needed for employee benefits
  • Assists in other projects or duties as assigned or required.
  • Performs other related duties and tasks as necessary or as assigned.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent. College degree preferred.
  • Two years of business-to-business commission sales experience or 2 years of insurance experience preferred.
  • Active Property & Casualty and/or Life, Accident & Health license required
  • Persistent desire to succeed, competitive drive
  • Proficient skill level with computer programs including: Microsoft (Word, Excel, Outlook) Suite, and other Agency or Data Management systems.
  • Ability to provide solutions and creative ideas to handle sales opportunities and difficult situations.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills to articulate key information.
  • Strong Interpersonal skills
  • Self-motivated, self-managing, strong work ethic
  • Capable of maintaining long-term relationships with clients
