A Day in the Life of the Marketing Manager
A typical day for the Marketing Manager at OpenWorks involves driving the execution of marketing campaigns, creating compelling content, and supporting the team's goals. You'll start by reviewing campaign performance metrics, making updates where needed, and planning new content initiatives. Throughout the day, you'll collaborate closely with the sales team to ensure alignment on priorities, partner with colleagues on creative projects, and contribute fresh ideas that help grow the business. This role requires balancing multiple projects, adapting quickly, and staying detail-oriented while keeping the customer experience front and center.
Overview Of Responsibilities
- Execute marketing campaigns that build brand awareness, generate leads, and support customer acquisition.
- Develop and manage content creation for a variety of channels, including website, email, social media, sales collateral, and thought leadership pieces.
- Partner with the sales team to ensure marketing activities align with sales goals and effectively support the sales process.
- Analyze marketing data and campaign performance metrics to identify opportunities, measure ROI, and inform decisions.
- Coordinate and collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to deliver projects on time and on budget.
- Contribute to digital marketing efforts, including SEO, SEM, email marketing, and social media management.
- Support brand development and ensure consistent messaging across all marketing materials.
- Assist in managing the marketing budget and tracking expenses.
- Stay up to date on marketing trends, tools, and best practices to bring new ideas to the team.
- 3–5 years of experience in marketing roles, preferably in B2B marketing or a growth-focused environment.
- Proven experience creating and managing content across multiple channels (e.g., blogs, social media, email campaigns, sales collateral).
- Strong understanding of digital marketing tactics, including SEO, SEM, and social media.
- Comfort working with marketing analytics and translating data into actionable insights.
- Excellent project management skills and the ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- A collaborative mindset and ability to work cross-functionally with sales, design, and product teams.
- Experience using CRM and marketing automation tools.
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, business, or a related field.
