Job Summary

The Audio-Visual Technician will assist in-house and off-site guests and clients requiring AV support services.

Responsibilities

• Handle in-house and off-site client requests.
• Maintain and service all AV equipment.
• Promote and sell AV services to guests and clients.
• Operate technical AV gear including digital audio consoles, wireless audio systems, DMX lighting, video presentation software like Pro Presenter, projection and pixel mapping software, video switching/distribution devices, and Adobe software.
• Understand hybrid AV systems such as HD-SDI, DVI, HDMI, and video conferencing hardware/software like Polycom, Tandberg, Lync, WebEx, GoToMeeting.
• Manage video streaming, embedded audio, and HD video streaming codecs.
• Maintain AV equipment inventory.
• Assist in training banquet/AV setup teams and setup for events.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Skills & Qualifications

• Ability to obtain necessary licenses and certifications.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Proficiency in Adobe software.

Education & Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Bachelor's degree in Audio Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field preferred.
• 1-3 years of experience in an AV role.

Physical Requirements

• Prolonged standing, walking, pushing, pulling, stooping, crouching, kneeling.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with noise.
• Lift up to 50 pounds.
