Sun Radio is seeking a passionate and thoughtful On-Air Presenters / DJs to join our team and contribute to the sound and voice of one of Austin’s most respected and fastest-growing radio brands.

Broadcasting across Central Texas, Sun Radio delivers the Best Music Under the Sun with a focus on quality, community, and discovery. We specialize in the Adult Album Alternative (AAA) format, powered by a commitment to smart programming, local culture, and solar energy. As a listener-supported station, we serve an audience that values great music and meaningful radio.

The Role

We’re looking for someone who knows how to connect with listeners through great music, thoughtful commentary, and a genuine presence. You’ll be responsible for hosting live or voice-tracked shows and contributing to Sun Radio’s distinct sound on-air and in the community.

Responsibilities

• Host engaging, music-forward radio shows that reflect Sun Radio’s voice and values.
• Informative content that enhances the listener experience.
• Engage with our audience both on-air and at station events, festivals, and community activations.
• Collaborate with our programming and marketing teams to support station initiatives.
• Uphold all station guidelines and FCC regulations with professionalism and care.

Who You Are

• You have a strong understanding of and appreciation for the AAA format.
• You’re a clear, confident communicator with an authentic on-air voice.
• You enjoy sharing music, stories, and insight in a way that feels personal and engaging.
• You’re reliable, collaborative, and comfortable working both independently and as part of a small, committed team.
• Experience in radio or broadcasting is preferred, but we also welcome fresh voices with strong potential.
