The New York Post is seeking a Senior Part time Reporter who can thrive in a fast-paced,

deadline-driven environment. The ideal candidate must be able to work nights and weekends.

Responsibilities

● Deliver fast, accurate information from the field: including but not limited to crime scenes,

fires, and press conferences

● Ability to juggle multiple news assignments

● Land exclusive stories

● Experience with SEO, think digital first

Qualifications

● At least 5 years experience at a fast-paced newspaper or other digital media outlet

● The successful applicant should be curious and self-sufficient, pay attention to detail, and

have superlative standards of personal excellence

● Savvy in social media newsgathering

● Car preferred as well as near-cartographical knowledge of the five boroughs

● Conversational knowledge of a foreign language is helpful

● Flexibility in schedule – including weekend and overnights
