Job Title
Independently executes expediting activities to ensure timely delivery of construction and engineering materials and equipment, applying standard procedures and sound judgment to monitor supplier performance, resolve delays, and coordinate logistics. This role directly supports supplier evaluation, schedule adherence, and overall project efficiency.
Responsibilities
Initiates and maintains communication with vendors to confirm delivery schedules for materials and vendor data
Prepares and maintains expediting status reports; and other reports as assigned
Monitors actual progress against detailed fabrication and manufacturing schedules
Identifies and resolves discrepancies related to delivered materials and equipment
Participates in project review meetings to report on the status of material and equipment deliveries
Coordinates with suppliers and construction management to align material and equipment deliveries with project requirements
Supports the assessment of supplier performance
Identifies and escalates logistical issues in a timely manner to enable effective resolution
Coordinates and communicates project Hold Points among suppliers, the Project team, and the Procurement team
Attend and participate meetings as assigned
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Experience: Minimum of three years of work experience required with experience in expediting, procurement, or business administration duties preferred
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.)
Education: High School Diploma (or equivalent) required
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Construction Management, or related field from an accredited college or university is preferred
