Job Description

We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Public Relations Coordinator to join our team. As a vital member of our communications department, you will play a key role in enhancing our organization's public image and building relationships with stakeholders, media representatives, and the public. Your primary focus will be to develop and execute effective public relations strategies that promote our mission, values, and initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement effective PR strategies and campaigns to enhance the organization’s public profile.
  • Write and distribute press releases, media advisories, and blog posts to garner media attention and public interest.
  • Coordinate and manage public relations events, such as press conferences, community outreach initiatives, and promotional events.
  • Build and maintain relationships with media contacts, journalists, and influencers to facilitate coverage and partnerships.
  • Monitor media coverage, track PR metrics, and prepare reports analyzing the effectiveness of PR strategies and campaigns.
  • Assist in managing and updating the organization’s social media presence, ensuring alignment with PR efforts.

Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations, Communications, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in public relations, communications, or a related role, preferably in a corporate or nonprofit environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a talent for storytelling and editing content for clarity and impact.
  • Familiarity with media landscape and current trends in public relations and social media.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team, demonstrating strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Proficiency in using social media platforms, analytics tools, and PR software to enhance outreach efforts.
