requires 2 days a week on site in Boston office.
IANS is seeking a Research Editor to support our Ask-an-Expert call summary and poll product lines. The individual should be a strong editor, either experienced in or with a strong interest in learning about cyber and information technology. The editor should have strong attention to detail, thrive in a fast-paced environment and be able to ensure every product meets IANS’ high standards for quality and insightfulness. Primary job responsibilities include:
Call summary editing Edit call summaries produced using IANS’ inhouse AI tools to ensure final documents are fully anonymized, error-free and client-ready.
Understand technical content enough to recognize and include links to any security vendors mentioned in the call.
Read though several subject matter experts’ answers to client-driven poll questions and choose the five best in terms of depth and actionability.
Edit and format the top 5 poll answers into an IANS template, ensuring all answers are succinct and easy to read and that final documents are error-free and client-ready.
Write all headlines, rewrite and fully anonymize client questions and be able to understand technical content enough to include links to related IANS content.
Skills
Strong editing, writing and communication skills
Experience producing technical/IT security content
Experience with Adobe PDF and Microsoft Office suite, especially Word
Working knowledge of AP style
