Staff Accountant @ Sports Advertising Marketing Firm

Our client, a global sports media entertainment firm with a dynamic and youthful culture, has created a new role within their Accounting Digital AdTech Team.

The team is seeking an individual with at least 3 years of experience to report to the Head of the Team, working alongside various internal operational and marketing sales teams. This position requires presence in the office 3 days a week.

Responsibilities:

• Review all accounting transactions and invoices for proper documentation and approval prior to payment.
• Analyze and review revenue recognition processes.
• Post and code all invoices into the accounting software, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
• Update the weekly check register promptly and efficiently.
• Research vendor discrepancies and follow up on adjustments.
• Handle accounts receivable inquiries from internal and external stakeholders.
• File and maintain records of paid and unpaid invoices and statements.
• Provide analytical, administrative, clerical, and project support to the accounting department and management.

Skills/Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree required; Degree in Accounting preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years experience with high-volume Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable transactions.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Understanding of income statements, revenue recognition, balance sheets, and expense accruals.
