The Designer analyzes blueprints, specifications, proposals, and other documentation to prepare ACCA-based heat load calculations and designs for new residential construction homes.
Representative duties include:
Reviewing data to determine material and labor requirements, and preparing itemized lists. Computing cost factors and preparing estimates used for management purposes such as planning, organizing, and scheduling work, preparing bids, selecting vendors or subcontractors, and determining cost effectiveness. Conducting special studies to increase cost-effectiveness of projects. Consulting with clients, vendors, and Department Managers to discuss and formulate estimates and resolve issues. Cooperating with the Service and IAQ Departments on projects as assigned by the Installation Manager. Job Qualifications:
B.S. in Engineering preferred but not mandatory. Minimum of two years' experience as an HVAC designer. Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, and governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Excellent written communication skills and the ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers.. Knowledge and experience with geometry and trigonometry, and the ability to apply mathematical concepts such as fractions, percentage ratios, and proportions to practical situations. Demonstrated ability to quickly learn new software and technology, with proficiency in Microsoft Office, Wrightsoft, & AutoCA used in the design process.
This is a remote position.
Compensation: $100.00 - $2,000.00 per week
