KTVI Fox 2-KPLR CW 11 in St. Louis, MO has an opening for a News photographer. The ideal candidate is a true team player who works well with others.

The News Photographer operates television or video cameras to record images or scenes for news reports.

Responsibilities include: shooting video for news reports, conferring with other personnel to discuss assignments, logistics and shot requirements, setting up, composing, and executing video shots, maintaining video equipment, editing video clips for television broadcasts and eMedia content, operating live microwave and satellite trucks in remote situations, and performing other duties as assigned.

Requirements and skills: high school diploma, fluency in English, excellent communication skills, both oral and written, minimum two years' experience operating video recording equipment, proficiency with computers, telephones, copiers, scanners, fax machines and other office equipment, proficiency with video recording equipment, ability to meet deadlines, prioritize assignments and handle multiple tasks simultaneously, flexibility to work any shift, and must join IBEW Union.

Physical demands and work environment include standing, sitting, conducting telephone conversations, using electronic mail, writing letters and memos, conducting face-to-face discussions with individuals or groups, making decisions without supervision, making decisions that impact the results of co-workers, working in close proximity to others, working outdoors in all weather conditions, working indoors in environmentally controlled conditions, lifting, setting up and operating equipment weighing up to 50 pounds, and handling, controlling or feeling objects, tools or controls. Repetitive movements are required. Work may be conducted in extremely bright or inadequate lighting conditions.
